Title:	Mammoth Tree Grove Hotel, Calaveras Mammoth Trees
Notes:	CMP notes: Note families--parents, children--arranged along porch. Located almost 161 km (100 miles) southeast of Sacramento, 145 km (90 miles) northeast of Stockton, and 24 km (15 miles) east of Murphy's Camp, the Grove Hotel at Calaveras Grove had accommodations for more than fifty guests. The nearby giant sequoia grove could be comfortably viewed from the hotel's upper balcony (Williams 1871, p. 34). The site is present-day Calaveras Big Trees State Park.
